Dolce & Gabbana

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana put up a great show for autumn/winter 2011 – 12. [As always] Opening the show was Arizona Muse, who kick started many a shows in Milan, the girl is on fire! Wearing a double breasted jacquard jacket, cropped pants in the same fabric, oxfords [Yummm] and a porkpie hat [Cute!] the outfit was the epitome of the biggest trend for autumn / winter 2012, masculine women’s wear which I absolutely adore. The striking contrast between the masculine and feminine silhouettes marching down the runway one after the other was a spectacle. The show continued with one structured masculine look consisting of jackets, low slung pants, suspenders [Lovin’ it] and shirts; followed by a flirty feminine look with the fashion house’s signature mid calf length sheath dresses in fun prints, pumps, huge star shaped metallic earrings and tiny bags. The show started off with black, grey, white, later going into a bit of pastels. What I loved about the clothes was the subtle hint of zebra print, high collars, the star and music-note print on the clothes [How pretty!] sequins and lace along with ‘pop of colour’ clutches and shoes. The clothes were immaculately tailored; however I would have preferred it if they gave the socks a miss. The show also show cased floor length dresses which were pretty bit failed to dazzle. Overall the show was a sure shot hit because Dolce and Gabanna never go wrong. I was definitely more impressed by the boy looks as compared to the girls. Here are some of my favourite looks from the show. Coming to you straight from Milan!
